Peru - 3rd day in Cuzco #4

The theme of this week is Plaza of Armas in Cuzco

This is the scene from a bus I rode.

"Welcome to Peru!"

There are steps at Plaza of Armas.

This  plaza was first built when Spanish conquered there.

This is cathedral.

this was built after the temple of Biracocha by Spanish.

This is the complete view of cathedral.

There is a fountain in Plaza of Armas.

But this was not playig.

I plan to show you Cuzco #5 next week.

See you soon.

Peru - 3rd day in Cuzco #3

The theme of this time is the church of Saint Domingo, too.

This is a scale model of the ancient village in Cuzco.

The terraced fields are very characteristic.

This seems the windows of this building.

We can look a window through a window.

This is perhaps a mark to be repaired.

This is an accurate structure.

I don't know what is this character.

God? Human? or Bird?

This is the outside of the church of Saint Domingo.

This is called 'Qorikancha'.

'Qori' means  'Gold'.

'kancha' means a 'living place'.

All golds here were stolen by Spanish when they conquered Peru.

I plan to show you some pictures of 'Plaza of Armas' next time.
See you.

Peru - 3rd day in Cuzco #2

I show you 5 pics in Cuzco this time, too.

This is he place of a room of the church of Saint Domingo.

I heard that this is the revival of the colonial mural decoration.

I think that colors were important in their lives.

This is the garden of the center of the church.

There were many pots and flowers.

I don't know which of thier existence hundreds years ago.

There were a lot of pots on 2nd floor, too.

This is a well in the garden.

This church was called the temple of the sun.

This well might be used by their ceremony.

This is the view from the central garden.

we can look the top of the church.

See you next blog!

Peru - 3rd day in Cuzco #1

I show you some pictures in Cuzco this time.

We reached Cuzco by plane.

This city is at a height of 3360 meters.

I had been in a daze while I stayed there.

This is in the airport of Cuzco.

The leaves behind her are Coca.

There are sources of cocaine, but the leaves are not drugs.

We went to the church of  Saint Domingo.

The Japanese guide was taught to us about the history of this place.

This building is beautiful to arrangement of stones.

There are not gaps well.

The background behind her is like universe.

Maybe, it was arranged recently.

I will show you many pictures of Cuzco from this time.

See you next time.
